After the release of Lightroom 5.5 in June, Adobe revises and updates its RAW Suite Lightroom to version 5.6. The update is available for Mac and Windows for download and is automatically offered by the update mechanism at the start of Lightroom.
More about: Lightroom
After the update, Lightroom 5.6 supports three new cameras: the Panasonic Lumix FZ1000, the Panasonic Lumix AG-GH4 and the Nikon D810. There are also new lens profiles for 22 optics (see below). Also the Adobe tools Camera Raw and DNG Converter have been updated to version 8.6 and now support the new cameras and lenses.
In addition, numerous bugfixes were again incorporated. Among other things, the synchronization with Lightroom mobile was improved and an error was eliminated, which caused Lightroom to crash when changing the image selection under Windows.
It is unclear how many more updates there will be for Lightroom 5. The new version, Adobe MAX, will be available in October 2017.
You will find the updates on Lightroom 5.6 for Windows and Mac on the support pages of Adobe (Windows | Mac). Here is the complete list of supported lens profiles in Lightroom 5.6
