The DigiPal T2 HD comes from the American specialist for TV receivers, Technisat. He is significantly more expensive than his competitor of Strong, but he has some extras in terms of ease of operation. To this end, Technisat has borrowed some self-developed technologies from its famous SatReceivers. On the one hand, this is the extended program guide SFI (Sieh Fern INFO), which contains more transmission data and covers a further period in the future than the normal DVB data. And to whom the many setup menus are too complicated, can activate the “ISI” mode, which focuses on the easiest possible TV enjoyment. The automatic station search using LCN (Logical Channel Numbering) found and sorted our bouquets, the sorting in one of the favorite lists went fast.
More or less
The Technisat has a few intelligent bonus points compared to the Strong on the Habenseite. For example, support for HDMI CEC is mentioned, which is called TechniLink here. This way, the receiver automatically switches on and off the appropriate TV devices and also adjusts its volume. And while competitor Strong limits its access to RSS feeds and weather information, the buyer of Technisat is open to the whole world of internet radio. However, the absence of HbbTV and the smart services based on this technology (eg multithek broadcaster) are also a painful renunciation.
Conclusion
And, of course, it would have been nice if the record and drive buttons on the remote control actually activated Timeshift, trigger recordings or play archive transmissions. After all, these pushbuttons are used to control the USB movies and slideshows, which are played with much higher quality than the Strong. Technisat also seems to have a better processor, because the boot time and reaction of the menus are significantly faster. The easy-to-use remote control is more precise in pressure and better organized.
With all the wishes, which can be expected in the future of DVB-T2 HD receivers, however, we must also compliment the two devices. The private and public broadcasters are broadcast via the HEVC codec progressively with 1080p, thus sharper (ÖR) and flicker-free (private) than via satellite or cable. And despite the nominal very low data rate, the picture quality is fully compelling. If the 40 stations are established and supplemented by local programs of "Freenet TV connect", DVB-T should develop from the emergency stop of the TV reception ("I can not lay cables") to the qualitatively serious alternative Br>
Technisat offers a little more comfort than the competitor, but can and must not depend on the picture quality. Again, the feature list should be extended by important entries.
