MobileIron AppConnect in check: Strong together

AppConnect from MobileIron is another container embedded in a complete mobile security solution. In this way, companies can securely run arbitrary business applications on the employees’ smartphones and tablets. Data transmission is encrypted, guidelines for dial-up can be set centrally. AppConnect works with existing security systems such as Virtual Private Networks (VPN). Alternatively, users can also transfer their data via a tunnel.

It is interesting to look at the partly optional additional equipment: for example, the administration tools for apps and mobile devices. This makes it easier for administrators to distribute apps to different devices

Monitor the contents of the containers, and delete company-owned data as needed. In addition, the user behavior can be analyzed in order to gain insights into the acceptance of individual applications.

In addition to the traffic of the apps, the mobile use of web browsers can be protected if required. The security concept also includes documents that arrive, for example, as e-mail attachments, stored in file directories, or retrieved via SharePoint.

MobileIron AppConnect can be flexibly integrated into existing IT structures: ActiveSync, for example, creates a shoulder-to-shoulder connection to Microsoft Exchange Server. For individual integration scenarios, there is a special Application Programming Interface (API).
