In the tests, the drive showed itself from its sunny side and came to just under 4 MByte / s when the almost full audio CD, with the not so big data CD to 3370 KB / s. This is one of the best drives in the category of external burners.
Also in the reading of CDs it would have in the comparison test thanks to an average transfer rate of 4395 KByte / s in its category to a good placement. The wrong way to handle faulty media: To read the error CD, the FX-1 needed more than half an hour and could not correct two errors. Another disadvantage of external drives, however, is the lack of the ability to read audio CDs digitally.
