Powerline technology is advancing. While older Powerline adapters use only two copper leads (phase and neutral) in the power cable, new connectors such as the PL300D Plus from Conrad can also incorporate the ground conductor into the transmission.
Also interesting is
The new technology is designed to increase the maximum range and transmission speed of the Powerline network. The network coverage can also be improved. The Powerline PL300D Plus has an integrated socket and a LAN connection. According to Conrad, the maximum transmission speed is 200 Mbps.
Powerline specialist devolo also offers improved powerline technology and achieves a speed of up to 600Mbit / s. Conrad calls his technique diversity and devolo calls his range + technology. Both work in the same way.
The Powerline PL300D Plus can be connected to the Internet via the house-internal power line, smart TV, game console or computer without lengthy cable laying. The transferred data is automatically encrypted by the adapter.
The Powerline PL300D Plus Starter Kit from Conrad is available for a price of 90 euros. However, the adapter will only be available in October 2013. A single adapter will be available for a price of 50 euros.
