You can find the power settings in the Windows taskbar. Sometimes you are also hiding in the small flyout menu that appears when you click on the arrowhead pointing upwards. Alternatively, use the search function in the Start menu to go to the corresponding section of the system control. For Windows 8 / 8.1, simply type “Power settings” on the start screen.
