Music Unlimited: Amazon launches music streaming service in the United States

Music Unlimited: Amazon also has its own music streaming service.

As of now, the music streaming service Music Unlimited from Amazon is also available in the United States. With this, Amazon joins the competition field of streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music. Music Unlimited started in the US in the middle of October.

Music Unlimited is priced in the same area as the competition. The test phase of 30 days is free. After that, it continues with a monthly contribution of 9.99 euros. Amazon Prime customers pay a little less at 7.99 euros a month at Music Unlimited - but this is still in addition to the Amazon Prime subscription, which is also to become more expensive from February. A family subscription for six family members is expected to cost 14.99 euros a month.

At Amazon Prime, music streaming is already included in Prime Music. Currently there are about two million songs in the program. Music Unlimited is intended to extend the offer to more than 40 million songs.

Music Unlimited is available as an app for iOS and Android devices. The access is also possible via Amazon's own Fire tablets and Fire TV devices. Songs can be downloaded and are also playable offline. If you want to use Music Unlimited only at the Amazon Echo, you only pay 3.99 per month, but you do not have access to the app.

Music Unlimited has editorial-created playlists on offer, as well as radio plays such as "Die drei Fragezeichen" or "TKKG". However, Audiobooks still belong to the genre of the Amazon subsidiary Audible. For the coming year, audio livestreams are planned for the football league and self-produced children's radio play series.
