Step 1: Create a backup from your iPhone 4S or iPad 2


For jailbreaking your iPhone 4 or iPad 2, you need the Absinthe tool.


Step 2: Remove the password protection


Before you jailbreak your iPhone 4S or iPad 2, make sure to back up and backup all data via iTunes.


Step 3: Install Absinthe


If your iPad / iPhone is password-protected, it must be disabled before the jailbreak, as well as a possibly established VPN network. Furthermore, the jailbreak must be connected to the Internet.

Step 4: Connect iPhone to computer


Unzip absinthe after download, for example, into a folder on the desktop of your computer and start the absinthe.exe file as administrator


This is where you connect your iPhone 4S or your iPad to the computer. For this purpose, use the original cable from Apple.


All you have to do now is to press the jailbreak button on the absinthe surface, the rest is largely automatic. Your iPad 2 / iPhone 4S will restart after a while, after which you will find a new icon called Absinthe on the home screen.


Tap the icon, the iPad / iPhone will now be briefly connected to the GreenPois0n website, then restart the iPad / iPhone again. After restarting, the Absinthe icon has disappeared and replaced with a Cydia icon.


Tip: If the jailbreak should get caught or dropped out at some point, reset your iPad 2 / iPhone 4S via iTunes before you try again.
