Nenotech SpeedLine Rocket SuperSilent tested: Many gaming PCs are in striking, often even additional illuminated housings. The SpeedLine Rocket SuperSilent from Nenotec is an exception here. Because it is not only acoustically, but also visually very reserved. The housing is the discreet but high-quality Miditower PC-8FIB.
The aluminum case is also equipped with a Lian Li cardreader which also has a USB 3.0 socket. Two additional USB 3.0 ports and an eSATA connector are available on the chassis top. The inside of the Lian-Li-Tower was completely lined with insulating mats by Nenotec. The motherboard features an Asus P8Z77-V LX with Intel Z77 chipset and a fast GeForce GTX-680 graphics card on the board.
As a processor serves a multiplier from 3.4 to 4.2 GHz overclocked Intel Core i5-3570K from the Ivy Bridge family. As a working memory two Corsair's Corsair Corsair 4-GB DDR3-1600 are on the board. With the GTX-680 card, the 1.850-euro computer delivers a very good 6,170 points in the Fire Strike run of the 3DMark and a very good system performance with 6,189 points in the PCMark 7.
Nenotec is also using a Samsung SSD for the high system performance. The SSD of the 840 series with SATA3 interface is very fast with a data transfer rate of 504 Mbyte / s in our benchmark HD-Tune very fast, but the capacity for a gaming PC is extremely tight.
In order to make the computer quiet despite powerful hardware, Nenotec replaced the standard cooler of the Point-of-View graphics card with an Arctic Accelero Xtreme III. The huge heat pipe cooler is kept at low temperature by three slowly rotating 92 mm fans. Even with high 3D load during the 3DMark the computer remained whisper-quiet.
