The world's largest exhibition for consumer electronics has always been a technical mecca for specialist magazines and interesting end-users. Many innovations have begun their journey at the IFA. But what is now a week full of entertainment, show and live acts was still a relatively sober matter at the time of formation.

From 1924 to the Second World War, the exhibition took place every year in Berlin, in 1950 it was resumed in a two-year rhythm and with changing venues. In 1970, she finally returned to Berlin and she has been taking place annually since 2005.

At the very first major American radio show, 268 exhibitors exhibited more than 170,000 visitors, including headphones and tube receivers. This year, there will be more than 1500 exhibitors who want to present a twice as large number of visitors the smartest telephones and the flattest televisions.
