IBM the United States GmbH

IBM the United States GmbH

IBM fell in the mobile apps finally due to the announcement, in the future closer to work with Apple. By autumn 2017, iPhone and iPad users are expected to benefit from around 100 - some industry-specific apps. Many of the solutions will greatly simplify access to IBM's Big Data technology and special cloud services.

IBM is already one of the hardest developers of mobile business apps. This is especially true when you look beyond the borders of the German-speaking world. The thematic focus is broadly similar to IBM's size, ranging from security apps, mobile administration solutions for IBM servers to social communities, business process management, and business intelligence. The latter refers to the Cognos BI software, which IBM Cognos Mobile users can use to access a secure connection. Managers can find current business figures here - either on individual dashboards or in the form of special graphical evaluations. Interesting is that the app works both on-and-off.

Other apps connect users on the move with collaboration systems such as the IBM Connections business community or IBM Sametime conferencing tool. In addition, "Big Blue" provides a mobile client for the IBM Notes / Domino combo. IBM's business apps can usually be used free of charge, but they require the appropriate equipment in the company.

Companies that are looking for company-wide collaboration and communication solutions with a mobile component will find a rich menu at IBM. Emphasis is placed on analysis and administration.
