Sony PlayMemories: Four new apps in the beta test

“Feedback expressly desired” – under this seal, beta software is increasingly coming onto the market which is to be developed by the customer. Meanwhile, through Play Memories Apps, this is also true of cameras like the Sony NEX-5R, NEX-5T or NEX-6, which can be installed on the latest beta apps.

The advantage is clear: You are now already profiting from new functions - that makes the appeal. Sony, on the other hand, signals with the beta status officially that these apps are still working. Users can now download, download, and share four free apps on their camera - and let Sony report an online survey of how they like the applications.

The functionality enhancements for the three system cameras also sound quite exciting: "Snapshot Me" is an app that should help if you press the camera into a third hand. By means of a guiding frame, the camera signals the untrained photographer to correctly display the person photographed.

With "Stop Motion" you can create time-lapse films, where the app offers theme templates. Afterwards, you only have to take photos which are put together to the movie. With "ID Photo", you are now easier to get standardized photos for driving license, passport or ID, and "Catch Light" gives portraits a special highlight: the app places a pupil on the pupils of the depicted person a light reflex. The free beta apps for the NEX-5R, NEX-5T or NEX-6 cameras are available for download on the PlayMemories Camera Apps portal
