Samsung NX20 in test - mirrorless system camera with WLAN

The new generation of mirrorless Samsung system cameras uses a 23.5 x 15.7 mm large 20 megapixel sensor. Your specialty is wireless communication via the integrated WiFi module. The top model NX20 offers an electronic viewfinder, an adjustable monitor and a built-in flash (guide number 9) in contrast to the smaller siblings. Compared to Sony’s counterpart NEX-7, it is minimally larger and heavier, but on the other hand it is slightly cheaper (1000 Euro).

Housing and equipment

The lightweight plastic housing of the NX20 is quite solid - not least because of the rubberized coating on the hand reef and the support for the right thumb. SD slot and lithium-ion battery are located in the same compartment and are not accessible when the stand is unscrewed.

Searcher and Monitor

The equipment of the NX20 includes sensor cleaning (ultrasound), image stabilizer (in the lens) and, in addition to the possibility to record exposure and white balance series, the recording of several images with different styles. This can also be customized by the photographer via color, saturation, sharpness and contrast. The NX20 also has a further special feature: its electronically controlled slit shutter allows very short exposure times up to 1/8000 s.

Autofocus and Performance

Buying advice Nikon system: The full-format cameras D700, D800 / E, D3x and D4

Wireless cable transfer

The NX20 has a monitor that unfolds, pivots, and therefore, in most situations, allows the photographer to look directly at the preview from the front. It is an AMOLED and PenTile display, which works with two instead of three subpixels per pixel and remains relatively clear even with direct sunlight or with a larger angle of view.

Using an eye sensor, the NX20 switches quickly between the monitor and 100 percent viewfinder. The latter provides a large, clear image with no pixel structure and, if necessary, displays grid lines as well as shooting parameters. However, it is relatively sluggish.

As usual in this camera class, the NX20 focuses by contrast measurement, whereas in the normal mode 15, 35 fields are available in macro mode. The NX20 needs 0.61 / 0.74 s (1000/30 lux) for focusing and triggering. In the series function it creates NX20 instead of 5.2 (NX200) now 6.7 B / s. This is faster than the previous model, but its buffer memory is full after 11 JPEG or 8 RAW recordings, so in less than two seconds. It also takes very long to process the data that comes from the photo series.

The "WiFi" function offers many options and is easy to use. Images can be sent quickly by activating the "Email" menu in the WiFi menu and typing the sender and receiver address via the on-screen keyboard. The camera automatically searches for available WLAN networks, asks for the password, and after logging on successfully logs all the selected photos, after compressing the files independently to two megapixels.

Similarly, the photographer can upload images to the Internet on Facebook, Picasa, YouTube or Photobucket. With the appropriate apps, the smartphone (iPhone, Android) is also a viewfinder, remote trigger or playback monitor. The wireless transfer to TVs works either over a private or public WLAN network or via WiFi directly, but this requires a WiFi compatible TV.

The NX20 works with the operating concept similar to all current NX cameras: Frequently used settings such as ISO, white balance, exposure compensation, aperture and shutter speed can be easily selected with the left hand on the kit lens with the i-Fn button on the kit lens. Thus the rights to operate the setting screen remain free, which provides even more important functions and setting options.

Buying advice Nikon system: The DSLRs of the middle class D90, D7000 and D300s

The NX20 comes with some useful comfort features: for example, it has a rotary dial around the four-way rocker, close to the trigger, easily accessible for the right pointing finger. You can also store three custom profiles and get them from the mode dial.

There is a separate trigger for video recording. It remains active in the photo modes so that the user only has to switch to the dedicated video mode if he wants to film with manual settings. The full-HD recordings are strikingly clear and sharp. However, the continuous autofocus decreases the sharpness slowly and jerkily. When the camera is tilted, the picture noises are intensified. And occasionally, strange image errors occur.

Operating concept

The NX20 achieves a limiting resolution of 1820 LP / BH and a visual noise of 0.4 VN. The irregularly structured, colorful Dead-Leaves-Chart is made up of 1400 LP / BH. From ISO 800, the stronger intervention of the NX20 noise filter is visible, and the texture of the fine texture is increasingly increasing. Overall, it can be said that the electronics intervenes very cautiously.

At ISO 100, the Samsung NX20 offers in the test a good picture quality, but from ISO 1600 it no longer comes against Sony's NEX-5N and NEX-7. What is missing from this camera is a kit lens with a smoother zoom ring.

Maktübersicht: MPS Concepts - Dell

If managed print services have so far been available primarily to larger companies, Dell will continue to offer such services to SMEs throughout Europe. The Dell Print Page Service is the prelude to this.

It allows small and medium-sized businesses to cut costs, manage their printers, and control budgets. Dell continuously monitors the consumption of toner and other materials, delivering replenishment automatically without the company having to make any orders. An efficient toner ordering system is used.

With a software agent, Dell can determine from a distance that the toner runs low, and timely replacement. The only use of original toner is to ensure a high print quality. Dell Print Page Service also includes maintenance and comprehensive printer warranty. The service allows contracts with a term of up to five years and is billed according to a second-tier price model.

A fixed fixed amount is covered by a fixed print volume. Additional printouts will be billed separately. In a remote audit, SMEs can find out which printers and services best fit their needs.

For 279 euros you get a 14-inch notebook with simple equipment, the technical data correspond to the reasonable price. Nevertheless, there are positive surprises with the full-HD display and the “HDD Bay” from Medion. All in all, the new Aldi laptop is a bargain – but only for the discriminating user.

Not bad at all

The Medion Akoya E4214 (MD 99570) is built on the entry-level SOC (system-on-a-chip, one-chip system) Intel Pentium N3540 with integrated graphics and 2 GB of memory. The 14-inch display with full-HD resolution is a big plus. The laptop provides enough power to watch 1080p video in full resolution. This means you are also mobile and under sun light not so fast out of action: The display is anti-reflective and the battery should keep according to Medion 4.5 hours. In normal use, this should be in practice at least three hours per charge. Dimensions of 342 by 29 by 242 millimeters at 1.69 kilograms are still acceptable for a 14 inch device.

The Medion Akoya E4214 (MD 99570) does not offer a removable disk drive (CD, DVD or Blu-Ray), but in addition to a card reader, the "HDD Bay" from Medion. On the side you can insert a 2.5-inch drive (with a maximum thickness of 7 millimeters), thus expanding the memory space. An SSD is also easy to use. In addition, a webcam including a microphone is also installed for online communication.

The Medion Akoya E4214 (MD 99570) offers all current standards. USB 3.0 is also on board as WLAN-n, Gigabit-LAN and an HDMI output. Windows 8.1 comes with software, which you can upgrade to Windows 10 free of charge at the end of July. There is also a 30-day trial of Office 365.

Limited mobility with significantly more performance could be more appealing to some notebook buyers looking for a desktop replacement for the home. Create photo calendar with Powerpoint tutorial

1. A manual design allows for more individuality than finished templates

The turn of the year is approaching and a new calendar is due. Instead of buying a new calendar, we will explain how you can use PowerPoint to compile your own calendar according to your own ideas and with your own pictures.

2. The division of the first film as the basis of the calendar pages

PowerPoint already offers some calendar templates, but you can create a calendar yourself. Firstly, you should specify whether your calendar should be in cross-format or portrait format.

3. Create the calendar with the table function of PowerPoint

First, create a new blank presentation. Select the Design tab. In the Customize group, click the Foil Size icon. In the menu that is now displayed, select the Custom slide size command. The Slide Size dialog box is displayed. Because the calendar is to be printed, select the Paper size for the A4 paper entry selection box. For both slides, notes, handouts, and outline, enable the Format option.

4. Determine and transfer the data for the first calendar sheet, January

Clicking on the OK button takes over the format. To edit the calendar sheet freely, select the Start tab, and then click the Layout icon in the Slides group. Select the Blank layout.

You can use the tools of PowerPoint to better display the division of heading, calendar and image. Activate the View tab. In the Ads panel, check the Rulers, Gridlines, and Leaderboards boxes.

The top part of your first calendar sheet should be reserved for a picture. The first month should be in the middle. Select the Insert tab, and then click the TextBox icon in the Text group. As soon as you drag the cursor onto the slide, it is transformed into a line. On the horizontal guide line that points to the zero ruler, drag the text box while holding down the left mouse button, and type January 2017.

On the Start tab, in the Paragraph group, click the Centered icon. Select January 2017, and select Font Size 40 in the Font Style group. Set the font to bold and text shadow. Drag the text box under the horizontal guide line.

The table function of PowerPoint can be used to create the monthly overview. You can find them in the Insert tab. Because a week is seven days, you also need seven columns for your table. The first day of a month is not always the first. Therefore, you need seven lines.

Click the Table table, and then click Insert Table on the submenu that appears. In the column and row numbers, select 7. Clicking OK will create your table.

Drag the table with the left mouse button under the text field. For this operation, the cursor must be on one of the table bounding lines. Then drag the table up to the end of the page. Click and drag one of the handles, holding down the left mouse button. As long as the table is selected, the tab tools are activated. On the Design tab, select a suitable table template. Write in the cells of the first; row the days from Monday to Sunday. Optimize the column widths by double-clicking on the respective vertical bounding line of the individual columns. Highlight the first row with the month names., In the tab tools, select the Layout tab, and in the Group Orientation, the Vertical Center icon.

Now the date values are to be entered into the table. PowerPoint does not have its own calendar function. Therefore, you must enter the date values yourself. If you do not have a calendar for 2017, look for example. For Outlook. In Outlook, enable your calendar. Scroll through the date navigator until January 2017. The first day of January is a Sunday and the January has 31 days. So, start typing the date values into your calendar, beginning with the Sunday. Select the date values

Select the Start tab. Set the font to 24, and enable the Bold and Text Shadow icons. In the Paragraph group, select the Centered alignment. In the tab tools, click the Layout tab. In Group Orientation, select the Center Vertical icon. Select the cells in the columns Saturday and Sunday. Set the font color to red.

5. Duplicate the calendar and adjust to the following months

So your calendar sheet looks quite good. Images are inserted later.

To avoid creating and reformatting the table over and over again, duplicate the slide and then change the month names and the calendar days. To duplicate your slide, right-click on your slide on the left side of the Thumbnails pane. In the context menu, choose Duplicate Slide. Duplicate your slide eleven times so you have a slide for each month. Then change the month name in the individual slides and set the date data.

6. Find jewelry pictures about Bing, if your own pictures are missing or not fit

If you want to add your own pictures to your calendar, this is no problem. Go to the slide where you want to paste the image. Select the Insert tab. In the Pictures group, click the icon of the same name. The file explorer is opened. Select the desired picture. Then click the Insert button. Drag the inserted image to the top of the calendar page and adjust the size.

If you do not have your own picture for the month, look for a royalty-free image from the Internet. The easiest way to do this is to click the Online Graphics icon in the Insert tab of the Images group. The Insert Images window is displayed. In this window, click the Bing Image Search command. In the search window that appears, type in what you are looking for. For example, for the month of January, search for January.

Make sure that Creative Commons is selected in the window. If you are not sure whether to use such a photo for your purposes, see Creative Common Licenses (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/). Here is exactly what you can use these pictures. Select an image by mouse click, and then click the Insert button.

7. Edit inserted pictures with the functions of PowerPoint

8. To avoid a static impression, simply change the design

9. For varying tablesheets, change the
elements

10. For a picture in the background, just make the photo transparent

After you have inserted an image, the image tools of PowerPoint are available. First, use the image format templates to set your image to the appropriate template. Already touching one of these templates displays the result in the preview. Use the picture frames to create a suitable border around your image.

In the Customize group, you can use the Corrections command to adjust the softness and sharpness, adjust the brightness and contrast. The color command can be used to distort the colors of your image. Also try the artistic effects once. You'll be amazed at what you can do with your picture.

Your calendar can be customized by changing the displays. For example, change the design. To do this, select the Design tab. Move the cursor over the different designs. The preview shows the result of the touched design. Once you find a matching design, right-click on it. In the context menu, select the Apply for selected slides command. Then the selected design is only applied to the selected calendar month. In this way, you can customize each month's leaf individually according to your requirements.

Another way to personalize your calendar is to place the individual elements elsewhere on your slide. For example, move the text field with the month and the calendar data table to the top of the calendar.

Insert an image and place it below the calendar display. This is to avoid monotony in leaf design. To move, click the desired element first. The element is then given a frame with touch points. Drag the cursor between the handles. The cursor is now displayed as a quad-arrow, and you can move the element back and forth on the calendar sheet as you wish.

With a trick, you can also put a format-filling image on your calendar sheet and make it transparent so that both the picture and the calendar entries are visible. On the Start tab is the group drawing. In this group, click the Rectangle shape. Drag the rectangle to fill your calendar sheet. In the Forms group, click the small arrow at the right side of the group.

The Format form window appears on the right side of the program. Select the Fill category. Select Image or Texture Fill. Select the File button below the option boxes. Then search for the desired image and add it to your calendar. If you do not have your own picture, click the Online button and select an image. Then adjust the slider for the transparency so that both your calendar and your image are visible.

Because PowerPoint does not support calendar functions, you must manually add holidays to the calendar. Again, you can take Outlook to help. In Outlook, click to select the File tab. Select the options. Click the Calendar category. Click the Add Holidays button. Select the appropriate country, and then click the OK button.

After you have added the holidays, activate your calendar view. Change the current view using the register of the same name. In the Change Current View / View group, select Active. Now all the holidays will be displayed clearly and you can make them visible in your calendar pages

For your calendar to be personalized, you should enter birthdays and anniversaries into the calendar. Here too, you have to make the entries manually. The font size for these entries is set small so that it fits into the column of the day. Select the entry without the day date, and then select font size 9. To change the entry, change the font color.

You have now made your calendar printable. Print out your calendar now. Then you bind him and you have an individual calendar for the whole year. If you do not have a color printer or a binding machine, go to a copyshop. There you will be expertly advised with regard to the material and the binding technology and you can create your calendar cost-effectively.

11. To take account of holidays, you must create your own hand

12. Add birthdays and other important anniversaries to the calendar

13. Printing the calendar with your own means or in the Copy Shop

Part 5: Comparison test HDTV recorder with hard disk

TechniSat DigiCorder HD S2

With TechniSat, the network function, which others want to implement later, is already a reality and for many an important purchase criterion. In fact, not only is the convenient management of thousands of TV stations found easier, but TechniSat takes the last bold step and copying happily recorded broadcasts via the network SD as HD. The fact that the gigabytes of the gigabytes is a bit of a drag can be lost, but one is rewarded with a TechniSat free downloadable administrative program, which converts the movie data (no HDTV) to burn them directly to DVD

In the operating philosophy or menu structure nothing has changed compared to the previous models. This gives the advantage that old TechniSat hops can cope immediately with the device, but it looks old-bodied.

The TechniSat also has two tuners, but it does not use a crossover function and the possibility to view at least a majority of the other stations during a recording, if only one satellite connection is available. Also the parallel recording functions are limited and not as variable as with Humax, Topfield and Homecast. Worthy of note is TechniSat's in-house transmitter management isipro. When changing broadcasting frequencies, adding new stations or setting them, it is very easy to keep the channel list up to date - mostly fully automatic. TechniSats programmer SFIplus does not collect the data of the individual transponders, but is loaded (at night) as a complete data set. So all programs are always available quickly.

The TechniSat is also available in a recommended 500-Gbyte variant for 750 euros and is the only participant a decoding method firmly integrated: Conax. A trial card is included with the Pay-Radio Techni-Radio (20 Euro per year for 15 stations).
